iPhone 5s Case Insert Template

I recently purchased a clear iPhone case from Amazon with the intentions of making my own insert for the back. I found a template online that I could download and cut out. Instead, I decided to try designing my own template with my Silhouette Cameo. I have had my Cameo for a year and have not really used it. I am determined to use it more so tonight I played with it for awhile and was able (with several adjustments) make a template that I am happy with.

 

It was simple to make this template using the rounded rectangle drawing tool. It just took awhile to tweak the size and get the camera opening positioned correctly. I did have to cut just a smidgen from the bottom and right side. Now I need to go through my paper stash and cut some more inserts.

Scrapbook Retreat Opportunity

The Embellished Scrapbook Boutique is hosting a scrapbook weekend retreat in February at Sawmill Creek Resort in Huron, Ohio. Since there aren't many opportunities for retreat weekends, I thought I would share the information.  You can download a registration form HERE.

Your 4 day crop includes:

• your own 6 foot table
• 4 days of uninterrupted round-the-clock scrapbooking time where you can come and go as you please.  Starting at 5 p.m. Thursday and ending 5 p.m. on Sunday.
• drawings and Giveaways throughout the weekend.
• make n takes from Jean and her crew  

Food is on your own, outside food is not permitted. There is a restaurant on premise and plenty within the Huron area.

• $60 for all 4 days
• $50 for any 3 days
• $40 for any 2 days
• $30 for any 1 day  

Registrations will be accepted up until January 31, 2015.  Refunds will not be made after January 31, 2015.  Late registrations after the 31st will depend on if we have a table available.  Space fills up quickly.

Our crops are open to more than scrapbookers and papercrafters. As long as your craft is portable and can be done on a 6 foot table, you are more than welcome to join us.

15 Christmas Cards

When I saw Kaisercraft's Yuletide Collection of papers, I knew that I wanted to use the Joyful sheet to make some quick Christmas cards. I had originally planned to only do 12 cards but then I saw the Miracle sheet and decided I could get three more cards with that sheet. For these 15 cards, I used 15 card bases, two sheets red cardstock, one sheet green cardstock, one sheet gold foil and five sheets from the Yuletide Collection.

This is the first time I have ever attempted something like this and I am really pleased with how the cards turned out. Also there were very little leftovers after I completed all the cards. Some of the Goodwill sheet was left so I took that sheet and cut the strips on that sheet down to individual strips that were 4 1/4" long and added them to the bottom of the inside of the cards to dress them up some.

February Weekend Scrapbook Retreat

There aren't many scrapbook stores left or opportunities for weekend scrapbook retreats.
