For the Birds

StacyStamps has some great nature stamps.  I used the Chipping Sparrow on these cards and colored using Prismacolor pencils and blended with an Adirondack refillable pen filled with 91% alcohol.  I did a search on the internet for a picture of a chipping sparrow so that I could get the colors right.  I cut out the whole stamped image and used foam dots to pop it up.  I also stamped an extra flower and cut it out to add to the lower left corner. You can't see it in this picture, but the center of the flowers are glittered.

This one is another variation.  I again stamped an extra flower and added it on top of the bottom flower with a foam dot.

This is StacyStamps blue jay.  I also colored it using the Prismacolor pencils and blending with an alcohol pen.  I tore the paper around the image then sprayed it with Goosebumps spray.  After the Goosebumps dried, I antiqued it using a brown ink on a sponge then wiped the excess off.  You can see the Goosebumps up close on the image below and a bit of the antiquing.

Baby Cards

These were quick and easy cards I made to put into an all occasion  card box for a wedding shower gift.  The giraffe stamp is from The Angel company.  I used the "gamsol magic" or "magic colored pencil" technique with my Prismacolor pencils.  You can find directions on this technique HERE on the Splitcoaststampers Resource page.  This technique is great if you are not good at shadowing.  It basically does the shadowing for you.

If you are not good at making bows like me, you may want to get a Bow Easy.

This is a great little tool for making the perfect bow everytime.  You can find tuturials on You Tube showing you how to use it.  I am a visual learner so these were of great help to me.

Supplies:
Spellbinder Nesties: Circles, Ovals
MFT die
CTMH paper
corner rounder
CTMH ribbon
Cuttlebug embossing folders

Bugaboo Graduation Card

This cute little grad girl is a digital stamp from Bugaboo Stamps called Ava Grad Diploma. If you haven't checked them out before, hop on over, they have some cuties.

I colored her with Copic markers and colored her mortarboard with a glaze pen to give it shine and dimension.  I am far from an expert on coloring with Copics, but I have learned from my searches on the net to use greys when coloring instead of black.  It allows the lines of the image to show through.  I layered her gown with C-3, C-5 and C-7.  I use E00 for her skin with E11 used for shadow.  Her cheeks are R20.

Supplies:
Bugaboo Stamp: Ava Grad Diploma
Copic markers
Reminisce graduation paper
black glaze pen
